« Sunlight is the best disinfectant. » Using open data and digital tools can help level the playing field for society’s most vulnerable. One example of this is JustFix, a technology nonprofit that builds data-driven tools for tenants and organizers fighting displacement in New York City
In this session, Justfix co-founder Georges Clement—Cheng Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and Forbes 30 Under 30—will dive into how the organization’s community-led development created digital services for self-represented tenants trying to navigate the Byzantine housing justice ecosystem in NYC.
The session will also highlight Justfix’s « who owns what » Housing Data Dashboard—a new resource for community organizers, tenant leaders, and government officials that demystifies property ownership and shell company networks across New York City.
