Jaethan Reichel is the Co-Founder CEO of Lightship Works, a Canadian software company whose field operations platform is used by industrial and public sector clients for daily operations and complex emergency response.
Based in a region profoundly affected by climate change, Jaethan and the Lightship team have been deployed in some of Canada’s largest recent emergencies, including the record setting 2017/2018 wildfire seasons and the total evacuation and on-going flood recovery of Grand Forks, B.C.
Prior to Lightship, he was a co-founder and board member of iTel Networks, a national telecommunications company featured in the 2019 Profit 500. Earlier in his career, he co-founded a pipeline construction company.
Jaethan co-founded the Innovate British Columbia (BC) Accelerator, KIC, where he served as a board member until 2019. He helped champion KIC’s original funding, contributing to more than $3m being invested in the startup community in BC’s interior, and remains actively involved in the startup ecosystem as an angel investor and advisor.
