Louis-Pierre Auger (he/him)

Winner, 2019 IDeA Canada Competition, Attitudinal / Systemic barriers

Louis-Pierre Auger graduated from Université de Sherbrooke in 2013 with a Master’s degree in occupational therapy. He has been practising occupational therapy at Villa Medica Rehabilitation Hospital for six years, mainly with patients who have suffered a stroke. Mr. Auger became interested in the development of best practices for sexual rehabilitation in stroke patients during his Master’s studies in rehabilitation sciences. Now a doctoral student in rehabilitation sciences at Université de Montréal, he will spend his time creating and disseminating an ongoing education course designed to give occupational therapists the tools they need to integrate issues of sexuality into their clinical practice. Mr. Auger’s research interests relate to sexuality, strokes, and knowledge transfer.
